Four Years of Building Bridges: A New Chapter in Korean-British Relations

After four incredible years as a Trustee and Head of Marketing for the Korean British Cultural Exchange (KBCE), I’m stepping down from my role as Trustee. It’s been an honour to play such a central part in the organisation’s journey and to contribute to its extraordinary impact.

During my time at KBCE, I’ve led the way in shaping how we present ourselves to the world—co-organising flagship events like the ESEA Culture Festival and Kimjang Festival, and being instrumental in establishing National Kimchi Day in the UK. I’m proud to have spearheaded efforts that have truly strengthened Korean-British cultural relations and brought people together in meaningful ways.

Although my time as Trustee is ending, my work in this space is anything but over. I’m busier than ever, collaborating with Korean businesses, UK companies working with Korea, and organisations bridging the two cultures. This work keeps me at the forefront of these dynamic connections, and my journey toward Korean fluency is helping me deepen those relationships even further.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. KBCE has been an incredible chapter, and I’m excited to continue building on this foundation through my own work, driving even more impactful connections between Korea and the UK.
